LOUISVILLE FILMMAKER’S TIDE CONTEST TV AD CHOSEN TO AIR ON NATIONAL TV
Louisville filmmaker Saqib Siddik will get to see his ad on national TV. Tide selected the commercial he entered in the Tide To-Go Instant Stain Remover commercial contest. Saqib’s 30-second spot, “You Never Listen,” will air on TV nationwide on NBC on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 during “America’s Got Talent” (8-10pm EST). The commercial features two actors: Paras Tiwari (from Louisville area) and Veronica Sanders (formerly of Louisville).
Saqib was a top-10 finalist nationally in the “My Talking Stain” contest sponsored by Tide and YouTube: www.youtube.com/mytalkingstain. Though he did not win the public voting competition, Tide company officials decided to air his commercial because they loved both the original concept and the funny performances from the actors.

ABOUT SAQIB SIDDIK:
Saqib Siddik has worked on films, TV commercials, industrials, and promotional videos from Houston to Hollywood. He wrote, directed, and composed the music for “The Passing,” the 2007 short film that has already screened in film festivals in Hollywood and Los Angeles, and next will be screened at the Derby City Film Festival in Louisville.
Saqib has an M.F.A. in Film Production from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts (one of the nation’s top 5 film schools) and a B.A. in Kinesiology from Rice University.
